Gave it two stars because 1 ½ stars is not an option. So, all in all we got full, did not leave a ton of money there, got the “we have to go there” out of our systems…and will never go back. The consensus: no.īecause it’s a college bar thing, the music was stuff I never heard of EXCEPT they played 99 Luftballons, which was OK, and then played…and here I want you to remove your caps and place them over your hearts in homage…Bette Davis Eyes. And they spoke so loudly that I know what they’re both doing this weekend and whether Mason Rudolph can ever be a decent replacement for Ben.
There were two guys, probably 30, sitting next to each other at a table, about 10 yards from us. And the small amount of tomato and onion didn’t help a lot. Which might have been okay had they given me more than a small teaspoon of the cucumber sauce. Her veggie “gyro” was not much….she threw some fries in there to give it more flavor…making it a Pittsburgh Veggie Gyro. The fries were good…hot, crisp, and a bunch of them. She thought with “veggie” there might be peppers, mushrooms, eggplant…other stuff. Wife’s veggie is the exact same thing, but with no lamb. Mine comes with lamb, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber sauce. I get a regular with fries, wife gets a veggie gyro (yeah, I know) and fries.no sweet potato fries available. Since it has Gyros in the title we order those. I look over at the bar and there are just a fairly small amount of liquors but 12 beer taps. Server brings the drinks.nice and strong, and 4.50 each…not bad. So we turn it sideways and as we look we place a drink order…vodka and soda with a lime, gin and tonic, two limes. We get a booth…the table tops are big and rough. No bartender the servers do the bar work. We walk in and only the bar area is open.two tables occupied and then us.
It's across from Bobby Mo (Robert Morris U.) and it must be a college bar/eats place. We pass Mike and Tony's all the time and we always say, "We have to eat there sometime." So today we did.
